The application is fast and convenient and allows you to extend your parking time if necessary and even receive alerts that let you know when your time is about to expire. The city has introduced a new smartphone app, Parkmobile, to help drivers pay for street parking meters without coins. All meters accept credit cards, debit cards or coins. Payment can also be made by mobile phone through Parkmobile.
The uniqueness of SpotAngels lies not only in the fact that it is the first to show all the information about street parking, but also in the fact that it comes from collaborative sources. This large public beach area on the south end of Sandbridge Beach (south of the 3600 block) offers a great place to spend a few fun-filled vacation days. In addition to showing citizens and visitors all the information about parking, the city of Virginia Beach has agreed to enable SpotAngels as an additional option to pay for the parking meter, a measure that makes it one of the first cities in the country to open payment with parking meters to several providers. Whether you're staying here for a day or just for a few hours, with paddleboards in tow or just a beach chair, generous parking is part of what makes Sandbridge Beach so welcoming.
This feature will be available in the SpotAngels app as soon as the meters are back up and running in spring, as they are free during the winter. SpotAngels, the “Waze of Parking”, works by showing a map showing the location of all street parking lots, car parks and garages, helping drivers find free and cheap parking, comply with regulations and avoid fines. No tickets have been placed in the car with which I use Passport, and I have not received any notice from any city that they have issued tickets for the car, so apparently the money has disappeared in the Passport bank account. To have access to everything that happens along the boardwalk and the beachfront Resort Beach area, you'll want to plan ahead.
